Willard Wain Gall, Jr., age 65, passed away on September 8, 2023, at his home in Mountain View, Missouri. He was born on December 19, 1957, in West Plains, Missouri, to Willard Wain Sr. and Mary Eva (Colter) Gall.

J.R. married Mary Margaret Curtis on July 2, 1987, in West Plains, Missouri. To this union, two children were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Sr. and Mary Gall.

J.R. is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Gall; his children, James Gall and wife, Breanna, Steven Gall and wife, Leslie, and Angel Haynes and husband, Austin; siblings, Gene Colter and wife, Pam, Jo Gall, Tara Fields, and Johnie Gall and wife, Wendy; grandchildren, Ashley Thall, Mark (Kendra) Haynes, Addy Gall, Tate Gall, Brylee Gall, Everlee Gall, Oaklynn Gall, and Beckett Gall; great-grandchildren, Payton, Princeton, and Priscilla; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a very loving husband, father, Papa, Popie, and Grandpa. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. J.R. was a backhoe operator all his life, and he enjoyed doing it. He loved to spend time with his kids and wife, but mainly his grandkids had a special place in his heart. He loved to fish, hunt, and rock. If he wasn't working a backhoe, you could find him with his grandkids or fishing with his niece, Cortissa Beach, whom he treated like a daughter.

J.R. will never be forgotten. See ya on the other Side!

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Kerry Lawson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5-6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortury.com.
