William Eugene "Porter" McGuire was born September 15, 1942, in Birch Tree, Missouri, to Lyle O. and Frances (Martin) McGuire. He departed this life on October 28, 2022, at 80 years of age.

He completed the tenth grade and proudly served in the US Army. He worked in the warehouse for Pepsi.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Frances; daughter, Carmen McGuire; three sisters, Mary Wilson, Cora Moore, and Linda Stober; and one brother, Harold McGuire.

Survivors include daughter, Eugenia (John) Frazier of Mountain View, MO; son, William Adam McGuire of Mountain View, MO; lifelong friend, Marsha Shearrer of Willow Springs, MO; two sisters, Ruth McGee of Rogersville, MO, and Phyllis Johnson of Mountain Grove, MO; two granddaughters, Michelle Frazier and Ashleigh McGuire; two grandsons, Daniel and Chris Frazier; one great-granddaughter, Addy Frazier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

William loved working outside and just staying busy.
