Kevin Anthony
Sartin
May 5, 1960 — Jun 17, 2026
Kevin Anthony Sartin, 66, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home, leaving behind many people who were fortunate to have known and loved him throughout his life.
He was born in Poplar Bluff and raised in Winona, Missouri. Kevin was the kind of man who made every room a bit louder, a little warmer, and a whole lot more fun. Charismatic, funny, and almost impossible not to like, he had a gift for making people feel at ease-and if you happened to catch him at a good party, well, chances are you probably still talk about it.
Kevin spent 30 dedicated years working at DRS (Southwest) in West Plains, a true testament to the quiet, steady work ethic that lived underneath all that charm. When he wasn't working, you'd likely find him at the river, swimming, on the lake with a fishing line in the water, or somewhere in the woods doing a little hunting. Aside from his daughter, his vehicle was always his pride and joy-kept with the kind of care most people reserve only for family heirlooms-and if yours looked like it could use a little attention, believe me, he'd be happy to let you know. He had a love of knowledge, technology, and mechanics, and was always curious, always tinkering, always learning.
He was a devoted son, a loyal friend, and a big-hearted man who loved quite deeply, even when he didn't always know how to show it.
As for the women in his life, Kevin had a certain magnetism that, let's just say, did not go unnoticed. He lived fully, loved often, and left quite an impression.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Sartin, of Eminence, Missouri; his wife, Char Sartin, now residing in Oklahoma; his brother, Mark Sartin, of Winona, Missouri; and his beloved mother, Janet Sartin, who now resides in a care facility. He was preceded in death by his father and lifelong hero, Tony "Mack" Sartin.
Kevin Sartin was a good man, not perfect, but real, and warm, and genuinely one of a kind. He is loved and will be missed more than words can properly hold.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to assist with funeral expenses.
