Marion Theodore "Ted" Collins, 74, departed this life on June 22, 2019, in Hampton, Virginia. He was born on September 4, 1944, to Jacob Calvin Collins and Jessie Marcella (Goff) in Birch Tree, Missouri. Marion served his country in the US Air Force from 1962 until his retirement in 1990, receiving numerous honors and awards for his time of service.

Marion was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Joan Barbour; parents; and sister, Mary Janice Sechrest.

He is survived by sister, Caroline Bradford; four brothers, Patrick Goff, Tony Collins, Wendell Collins and Shawn Collins; son, Rory Collins (Kimberly); daughter, Carla Collins; granddaughter, Madyssen Collins; best friend of twenty years, Lobo; and a host of nieces and nephews.

His friends called him Ted and he always wore a smile while always having a kind word to say. He was a dedicated husband, father and a loving Paw Paw.

Visitation will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will take place at Parklawn-Wood, Hampton, VA on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Oak Forest Cemetery in Birch Tree, Missouri on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, MO.  Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com .
